Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 egg whites

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Beat egg whites at high speed until foamy
  3. Gradually add sugar while beating
  4. Beat until the egg whites form stiff peaks
  5. Spread over hot filling of pie
  6. Using a plastic spatula to touch the meringue and pull up to form peaks with curled tips
  7. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown
